Allow Companyweb cookies
What exactly are cookies?
In order to make optimal use of the functions of Companyweb, it is recommended that you to have browser cookies placed and read. Cookies are small text files that your browser can use to improve your user experience on a site, so that, for example, you do not have to use every only have to log in once on the same device.
What if my browser does not place cookies?
If Companyweb is never allowed to place cookies via your browser, you will not be able to log in. This is therefore a requirement to be able to work with our application.
Microsoft Edge
Click on the three dots in the top right corner of Microsoft Edge. Then click on Settings in the drop-down menu.
This may differ depending on your version, but click through to 'Privacy & Security' or to 'Advanced settings'. Here you ensure that the option don't block cookies is indicated in the drop-down menu.



Google Chrome
The settings on Google Chrome are made via web pages and can therefore be accessed via the address bar at the top, which is the easiest way.
Open a new tab in Google Chrome and paste the following URL into the address bar: chrome://settings/content/cookies. This will immediately take you to the correct settings page.
At the bottom of this page, click add in the allow section. A new dialog box will open where you only have to fill in companyweb.be and click add.


Firefox
Open your Firefox browser and click on the hamburger menu at the top right, then select Options. Then click on Privacy & Security in the sidebar.
On the next page, scroll down a little and choose Manage Permissions. Here you can allow Companyweb as exception to read and write cookies via Firefox.
A window will open and in the top input box type companyweb.be and click Allow. Afterwards, all you have to do is... save the changes via Save Changes at the bottom. Finally, you can simply close this page again.


What if my cookies are not saved after closing the browser?
A website such as Companyweb asks your browser to place a cookie on your computer. By default, the browser executes that query. This is recommended, but may differ depending on your browser. Your browser may place cookies so that you can log in to Companyweb, but it deletes the cookies as soon as you close the browser. This means that you will have to log in again every time.
Below we explain step by step per browser what you can do if the Companyweb cookies are not saved.
Microsoft Edge
Click on the three dots in the top right corner of Microsoft Edge. Then click on Settings in the drop-down menu.
Click on the second tab 'Privacy & Security'. Then click on 'Choose what to clear' and make sure that the first slider is selected is not on.



Google Chrome
The settings on Google Chrome are done via web pages and can therefore be accessed via the address bar at the top, which is the easiest way.
Open a new tab in Google Chrome and paste the following URL into the address bar: chrome://settings/content/cookies. This will immediately take you to the correct settings page.
On this page it is important that the second slider is not turned on, because if it is turned on, your cookies will be deleted after each session.

Firefox
Managing cookie settings via Firefox is a little less obvious. The desired behavior can consist of a combination of settings. Firefox has two separate settings that do almost the same thing.
Open your Firefox browser and click on the hamburger menu at the top right, then select Options. Then click on Privacy & Security in the sidebar.


A window will open where you need to check two things. Under the section 'Cookies & website data' make sure the box is unchecked.
Below this there is a section 'History'. Here you can either choose the first option from the drop-down menu, This way, the history (including cookies) is always saved. If you choose the last option, namely the custom settings, it is best to ensure that the bottom box is not checked.
